Yes, there is. If you accumulate 20,000 union hours, and at least fifteen qualified years (three of which must be after you turn 40 years of age), you will qualify for lifetime medical insurance for you and your spouse/domestic partner when you retire. This is a significant benefit that is rapidly disappearing in the United States, and is virtually non-existent in the non-union workforce.
